TO SAVE VICTORIA LEISURE CENTRE
IN NOTTINGHAM FROM CLOSURE
Victoria Leisure Centre

The 'Save Victoria Baths' campaign brought together local residents, swimmers and heritage groups to prevent the closure of the much-loved Victorian pool, sports hall and Turkish baths in Sneinton Market, which had been open to the public for over 100 years.

The campaign ran from 2008 - 2011 and resulted in the opening of a new £9 million pound leisure centre in March 2012 - built on the site of the original and incorporating some of its original architecture.
